  • Scottish Games

Griffin International and Bev Griffin will continue to provide support to the not for profit organization, Greenville Scottish Games, with Ms. Griffin serving as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  The focus of Griffin International’s involvement is to positively impact economic development in the Upstate of South Carolina.  The Greenville Scottish Games have reached the pinnacle of Scottish Games worldwide.  The work of the Board of Directors has resulted in recognition by the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs, based in Edinburgh, as creating the finest Games in the world.

The Greenville Scottish Games are to be singularly honored to have HRH Prince Edward planning to attend the May 2010 Games.   The Games will receive national media coverage, and visitors from across the United States and Canada will flood into Greenville by the thousands.  This will truly be an historic event; no member of the Royal Family has ever attended a Scottish Games outside Britain.

The Games are a ticketed event with an upscale demographic.  The Games in June 2009 had a gate of 17,000 and the Great Scot! Parade had 8,000 - 10,000 spectators.  These numbers, as well as the 1000+ participants in the Games (car show, runners, etc.) will double in May 2010, enhanced not only by increased marketing, substantial word-of-mouth, but by the Royal visit by HRH Prince Edward.
